Goldyn Rae Alpacas is excited to feature this potential herdsire who has reached breeding age!

Goldyn Rae's Pharaoh is a beautiful white male with gorgeous fleece. He has amazing stats and a very gentle temperament.

Pharaoh's sire Mont Alejandro won First Place and White Color Champion at the 2017 AOA National Show. Alejandro's 2019 daughter, Goldyn Rae's Yara, won SUPREME CHAMPION at the 2020 AOA National show as a JUVIE!!

Pharaoh's dam, Pucara Goldyn Rae Kahuna's Brienne, is daughter of the one-and-only Kahuna.

Pharaoh's STACKED genetics and fleece qualities make him worthy of a try as a herdsire.

Density: 66.4/mm
Secondary:Primary fiber ratio: 10.3:1
In-skin mean primary fiber diameter: 22.1 µ Standard Deviation: 3.96 µ Range: 16.8 µ to 30.8 µ
In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter: 18.7 µ Standard Deviation: 3.2 µ Range: 10.9 µ to 33.3 µ

"Very good uniformity in both fiber populations along with a better than average density number for a suri
alpaca. The fiber population differential of less than 4 microns is a sought after metric for breeding suri males."

I had always been familiar with alpaca products but not with alpacas. A television commercial for the 2012 National Western Stock Show piqued my curiosity, so I grabbed my mom and we went off to visit. It turns out that at age 47, I was the oldest person in the petting zoo without a parental escort. By the time we left, we were both interested in alpaca ownership. After two farm visits we were hooked on Suris and made our first purchase. Within a few months we set up the business, bought a 5-acre property, and set our sights on a future in alpaca farming.

We are transitioning from showing and breeding to a focus on fiber arts. Goldyn Rae Alpacas is now on ETSY! We offer woven scarves and knitted hats handmade on the Goldyn Rae ranch, and other products created from the fiber of our own Suri alpaca herd.
